1930s | The Entrepreneurial Spirit Begins

John D. Gould, Sr., after experimenting with anodizing aluminum, discovered the potential of solenoid valves and launched Atkomatic Valve Company in 1936.

1951 | The Birth of Gould Solenoid Valves

After selling Atkomatic, John D. Gould, Jr. and his father established J.D. Gould Company, Inc. in Indianapolis, Indiana. With an innovative solenoid valve design and a commitment to precision, the company quickly gained traction.
